Nearly 90% of the appeal target of £834,000 has now been raised. Nearly 30% will come from the Heritage Lottery Fund from money raised by Lottery players, but 70% has to be raised through the Minster appeal. £84,000 has been granted by trusts such as the National Churches Trust, the Garfield Weston Foundation and the Wolfson Trust (through the ChurchCare scheme), but so far £71,200 has come from individual donations, business sponsorship and fund raising events. That added to the £53,000 that had been raised before the appeal was launched, means that local people have contributed £124,200 so far.

Repair works have started and there is scaffolding inside and outside. The internal scaffolding will be removed before the King’s Lynn Festival starts on 15th July, but the external scaffolding will be need for 2 months beyond that.

We hope that installation of the new facilities will begin in September, but £89,000 is still needed for that work. Applications are being made to trust that we hope will contribute £50,000, but £39,000 still needs to be raised locally.
