The Minster Choir

King's Lynn Minster possesses a fine four-part choir performing, to a high standard, repertoire that spans from the 16th century to the present day.  It is always looking for new members to join, all voices are needed and no audition is necessary.

The choir rehearses each Friday from 7:30 to 8:30pm, and usually sings Choral Evensong on Sunday evenings (from 6:00 to 7:30pm), although once a month it sings Choral Eucharist in the morning (from about 9:20am).

In addition to the usual offices, the choir sings for all of the town’s Civic services and occasionally sings Evensong in Norwich and Peterborough cathedrals.

King's Lynn  Minster is one of the last churches in this part of East Anglia to sing full choral Evensong, part of our unique national heritage.

Paid scholarships available
The Minster also offers four paid choral scholarships each year to young people (aged 16-23).

If you are interested in joining, please contact the director of music, Adrian Richards at anmr@btopenworld.com or via the church office.  An application form can be sent for choral scholarships upon request.

The choir sang the services for a weekend at Tewkesbury Abbey in August 2014, Beverley Minster in 2015, Bath Abbey in 2016 and Rochester Cathedral in 2017.

The Choir also recently sang on BBC1's One Show for the big reveal of Pudsey's fundraising Rickshaw Challenge.
